Our campsite. Mason, in orange, could not be convinced that campers should reserve thumb-sucking and blankie snuggling for inside the camper. We pick our battles.
You'll also notice that my monkeys insist on wearing sweaty, rubber rain boots rain or shine. When the boots are removed, I have stinky, wet toddler feet patting about. We are in need of comfy, easy-to-slip-on summer footwear. I found $13 Crocs (new) on ebay from a Japanese seller and ordered them promptly. They sell for $24 retail. My fingers are crossed that I will actually receive them...the seller's description contained questionable English :).

Saw Dog crawling about the camper. Don't worry, Grammie Laurie, he's in no danger of falling out :).
Another successful camping trip under our belt! This was Sawyer's first trip, as he and I didn't join the boys the previous weekend on the Boulder. As expected, he was a trooper - he slept reasonably well and only fussed when he couldn't tromp around camp with the big boys. It rained on us briefly and we had the luxury of waiting it out in the camper. Having grown up in a strictly tent-camping family, I have to admit I used to snub my nose at the weenies who needed a camper to go camping. Not anymore! Having a camper is delightful and I don't feel like a weenie at all...I feel dry and comfy and safe!
***Here is a picture of the owl clock that adorns the camper's wall.
Sawyer E turned 10 months old this month! His top two teeth are coming in and he likes to rub them against his bottom two teeth...hence the clenched grin in the picture.

Trailers are the only way to camp. That is how I feel about camping. You guys will make great memories while camping. Ask Matt about the time Jenny fell into our campfire. Not that I worry or anything like that.
Don't worry - you aren't running noisy generators or unloading the fourwheelers yet, so you're fine. It's still camping! I cannot believe how big Soy boy is getting! I have to see him soon! And the boys look like they are loving life right now. Have fun, Reese!
Oh, and that trip when Jenny fell in the fire? Worst. Trip. Ever. I remember her hysterical screaming (and rightly so) until she passed out from the pain/exhaustion. Not enjoyable.
We have many good memories in our camper too. How fun to see Sawyer laughing....isn't this a fun age! We are enjoying Addie in all her laughs too. Oh and tell me if you get your crocs..I would be interested in checking out the site if it works our for you.
I remain unconvinced about camper camping. The only way to really convert me is a big family camping trip, some where remote and far from people, maybe on a river. Maybe we could then float said river, cook out, play with the babes and play games.
Yes, this could be the only way...
What!@? Jenny fell in a fire? Poor darlin!
