Today...
...Began with a new routine: three-year-old boys were instructed to stay in their beds, reading quietly by the light of a lamp, until retrieved at 7am by their sleepy-eyed mother or father. We practiced a bit last night, and what-do-you-know it worked!
...We participated in worship, discussion, and study of Isaiah 15-23 at BSF.
...My little ones enjoyed their friends in the lobby after BSF, playing a boisterous game of "Dinosaur". If you've been in our company in the last month, you are familiar with this game as M and S coerce any and every one into playing it with them.
...During intermission (i.e. nap-time), this mama exercised in the warmth of her home. When it's cold, and you have three (3!) little ones, you do what-you-gotta-do...and I did. :)
...We bundled up for an invigorating walk down the street, dragging sleds (and sometimes Soybean) behind us.
Sawyer enjoyed the sled-ride...the other two did NOT want to ride. Oh boy. However, they still talk enthusiastically about skiing...we shall see.
...Matt and I devoured this for dinner. It was the first time I've made it and it won't be the last. Yum.
...In our home, with a warm, crackling fire, we gathered and snuggled and felt full and satisfied as it came to a close.
Today...was good.

it sounds good! Thanks for sharing it with us :) I am trying to head that way for some Big Sky snowboarding but we shall see if that happens!!
Ah man, I wish I was there with you, enjoying TODAY. And I wish you cooked for ME... EVERY day!
I have a friend that taught his 5 year old to tell time. The rule is he's not allowed to leave his room until the clock 7:00 and the boy loves watching the clock and waiting for the right time. I'm glad your plan works--sleepy time for mama is a big deal!
Yeah, that cooking...Matt is a very lucky man!
Yeah, that cooking, man!
yeah!
What a cozy post. The whole lot of it sounded delightful. Except for the work-out. I may need to try that recipe, it looks amazing. Come to think of it, YOU are amazing.
