New and Noteworthy

Historically, January is my least favorite month. (See here and here for previous January whining posts.) However, January of 2012 has been the exception.

Perhaps it's the mild winter Bozeman is enjoying.
Perhaps our schedule (preschool, BSF, babysitters, play-dates) offsets the slow pace of long winter days.
Perhaps my pregnant condition enjoys the slow pace of long winter days.
Perhaps I just like using the word "perhaps".

Anyway, wanted to share some new and noteworthy happenings around the Schuyler household.

We got an ipad! Actually, I got an ipad, for Christmas, from my sweetie. However, the little Schuylers don't seem to care that it is, in fact, mine. They play games but mostly, they like to use it to look at pictures/watch movies of Transformers. Sigh.
When not in the clutches of the littles, I use it for online recipe look-up, Facebook, Pinterest, e-mail, weather, and on and on. Love. it. Love it. Love love love it.

I'm officially nesting.
Actually, de-nesting. I've made a list of "nests" that I'd like to tackle and rid the house of before Baby arrives. Think of a mouse's nest - a mess of bits and pieces of this and that, all matted together. The list includes (but is not limited to) all of our closets, under my bed, and my pantry. I've already tackled my junk drawer. See above. Ahhh - so organized and lovely! I have about 6 more weeks to tackle the remaining nests. Wish me luck.

Not-so-little Mr. Saucy Pants is sleeping in a big boy bed!
We recently moved this cutie-pie into the same room as his brothers. Yes, all 3 monkeys in one (smallish) bedroom. Believe me, there was no small amount of fretting by this mama over the transition. The fiasco of moving M and S to big boy beds is still fresh in my memory. Read this if it's not-so-fresh in your memory.
Per his usual, Sawyer stepped-up to meet his new found freedom with awesomeness and a smile. He just lays down and falls asleep. And stays in bed all night long. Amazing. Granted, we're only 2 nights in. Things could change. So far so good. I'm giving it two weeks and if it's still going well, on to potty training!

I sewed up a dress. A sweet little girlie dress. I had planned on giving it to Lane and Baby Girl Perrine. But, I've grown quite attached to it. I really can't part with it...yet. It's just so lovely and little and pink.
On that note, please do not worry that I'll be crushed if the baby I deliver is a boy. Yes, I'd love to have a girl. I've prayed for a girl, dreamed about mothering a girl. But, I really do have peace that the little one I'm carrying, boy or girl, has been knit together by the One who always pursues and works out what is good and right for me.
Romans 8:28 says, " And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." I happened to look up The Message translation of this verse and it is so fitting: "He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good." Ha.
And lastly, here's a shout out to Lane as she labors her baby girl into the world today! Woohoo!

Happy Wednesday to you!

CUTE. I love your posts, and I love the pictures. My life just doesn't seem as photo-worthy as all the munchkins on your end of Bozo.

This nice warm winter though? It pretty much sucks a@@ with a dirt yard. Yes. Yes, it does.

Soy got his haircut. I love his new big bed. I have decided that a girl would be fun, but if you have another boy, Sawyer would have a partner against those cute twins. So I am okay with whatever you have:) Not that it really matters, ha. Love you

Everything looks great- from the boys on the iPad, to Sawy's big boy bed, to the adorable hand sewn dress to the pregnant sisters. I'm so glad you're able to enjoy this January a bit more than usual! Love to the Bozeman Schuylers!
