Joo-lye

So, I've kinda fallen into a pattern of blogging once a week, semi-regularly. I'd like to blog more but several things hinder me from doing so:

1) The most obvious reason, I have two toddlers. You probably saw that one coming.

2) The computer/internet is upstairs in our "office" /bedroom. The boys get bored and mischievous up there and are too curious about the paper shredder (we're talking the kind that can shred CD's) for me to blog while they forage.

3) Matt has the camera with him at the jobsite. I would hate to disappoint you all by posting without pictures...so I just don't.

4) Our life is sometimes dull, i.e. not blog-worthy. Hard to believe, I know, but true.

So, there you have it, a little aside addressing the blog routine.

On another note, I just found this wonderful site/shop called Mama Merit Badges. Irreverent, witty, funny, and full of tragic truths. You have to be a Mama to wholly appreciate the humor but even non-Mamas or pre-Mamas will get a chuckle at their products.

Here is another wonderful site called Rhyme Zone. It's pure genius and fun all rolled into one. It's a rhyming dictionary...you type in a word and it spits out rhyming words. So when you want to find a word that rhymes with "poop", now you know where to go. I'd love to hear some poems in the comments.

And because I would never dream of posting without pictures...
Father mimicking son (Smith).

Before Sara left for her mission trip to Africa, the Oberlys hosted a going-away dinner. The guys spent a good part of the evening playing holey (wholie? wholly? holy?) boards. M and S are sitting on the board.
We packed a lunch and our boys up Hyalite Canyon on the Fourth of July. Here they are enjoying a very nutritious lunch consisting of granola bars and marshmallows.

MayMo mountain man.

After lunch, we headed up to the Hyalite Resevoir where the boys dipped their toes in the cold water and threw rocks, a new favorite.
Several of you have commented that you'd like to see Matt atop a bicycle. Voila. He looks pretty good, huh? And he's even smiling.

A side shot.
M and S playing "Peek-a-boo" in the Burley. I have a very cute movie clip of them playing this game but it's too big for Blogger to support. I'll figure out how to edit it so it will fit...someday.

I would love to play when you are here! Are you going to Brandi's wedding? That is our main event for that weekend and other than that we are free, I know Chad would also really enjoy some beer-drinking-with-Matt-time. You guys also need to come see the finished bathroom!
